Catching Up!

It is incredible how time can go so fast! I have been busy running here and there and have neglected to write anything in over a month. As you can tell, I am not the best blogger!

I went on 2 vacations this summer. One to Pennsylvania/New York and one to California. Boy were they fun. I went to PA with Paul and his family. Paul has a brother who lives out there and so we visited him for 12 days. I was so excited to travel. For those who don't know, I have not traveled much in my life. Prior to this trip, I had only been to California, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and driven through Arizona. So now, to fly clear across the country was pretty neat. While in PA, we drove to Niagara Falls and visited Palmyra. We were able to see the pageant and also visit Joseph's house and Sacred Grove. It was so inspiring. Back in PA, we went to a historical amusement park, a Pirates baseball game, the Cathedral of Learning, a water park, and the Pittsburgh Zoo. It was a pretty busy trip! But so fun at the same time.

We came home from PA and had enough time to do laundry and catch up on sleep before we drove to San Diego. Paul and I drove my niece home to stay with her Grandma and Grandpa while her parents were in China. She slept for most of the 12 hour car ride so I can't complain too much. This trip was meant to be a vacation from a vacation. We swam in the pool almost every day, were bums on the beach, walked along the marina, ate good food, went to Sea World, went tubing and waterskiing, went to Six Flags, and visited the San Diego Temple. Basically, it was a lot of fun times.

I uploaded some pictures to my Picasa Web. I hope the link below works. If not, let me know and I will have to upload them directly to the blog.

Pictures of my Summer Vacations

I came back from CA just in time to start school. School started on the 20th but I was in meetings all that week. I was stressing out trying to get my classroom done and be ready for the school year. I am teaching third grade again and have a class of 30 which is a few students less than last year. So far, I have been in school for about a week and my class is awesome. I hope it stays that way.

It is hard to believe the summer is over and it is back to work. What is all this grown-up responsibility stuff??? Who does that?
