School's Out!!!

One year down and who knows how many to go!!! I can officially say that I survived my first year of teaching! May 29th was a glorious day. It was kind of bitter sweet in that I had to say good-bye to my students, of which I love, including the ones that drove me insane. I spent many hours planning for them, taught my heart out to them, laughed with them and even shed tears over them. I had my struggles but I learned so much from my first year of teaching and am so grateful for everything my students have taught me!

So now my summer is in full swing! My plans for the summer include: SLEEP, work a Summer Camp for 2 weeks, travel to Pennsylvania and New York (and maybe Canada), go home to San Diego, ride my bike wherever it will take me (or wherever my little legs will endure to take me), and finally get my room unpacked and stop living out of boxes. If anyone has any suggestions about what else I should do, let me know. I am open to whatever.

Oh, I finally took pictures of my bike and bike rack. Check them out. I am super excited.

  1. Hi Lori!
I found your blog through Vivian's. It looks like you are doing really well. Teaching 3rd grade? That is so awesome.
