Let Freedom Ring!

Happy belated 4th of July! I am so grateful for the freedoms that I enjoy, for this free land that I live in, and for those who have sacrificed in my behalf. I had such a fun time remembering and celebrating this holiday. I went to the Provo parade in the morning and was able to see Paul marching with the Army even though he didn't see or hear me! (I still tease him about "ignoring" me!) We later went to the Freedom Festival along Center Street. In all my years of living here, that was the first time I had gone. It seemed like all the booths were the same, selling either jewelry or bags, or selling food. I guess I know who the sellers were targeting.Later that night Paul and I, along with his family, went to the Stadium of Fire. To be honest, it was a really good show. SHeDAISY performed a couple of songs and then we rocked out to the Jonas Brothers. Paul and I are their biggest fans! We knew all the songs and were screaming our heads off! (If you cannot tell, I am being completely sarcastic!) The huge flag that normally stretches over the field was retired and burned. An inspirational fireworks show was displayed and then we had the real fireworks show. So really, we were able to see two fireworks show. We had perfect seats too. We sat in the north bleachers towards the top and the fireworks shot out of the south bleachers. We only had a few ashes fall on us.
Oh, Paul and I also recently saw the movie UP in 3D. We both agreed that it was the best movie this summer. It was so cute. It was a cartoon but had a lot of older humor and concepts about life (appropriate, of course). I recommend it!

  1. We watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks outside the stadium with Ashley and Curtis, cause we're too poor to be in the stadium;) haha. I was wondering what the ten minutes break was in the middle of the fireworks! A lot of people outside the stadium started leaving. Sounds like you had a lot of fun! I can't wait to see UP, but we're waiting for the $1 movie;) I saw Elder Holland at the Provo parade! And Heidi and Kristin were running in the 5K before it, did you see them? I'm glad you had fun!
